Just a smile from you,

to declare that our limbs belong together

entangled.

And as jumbled as a jigsaw puzzle.

But with mismatched at odd angles,

incomplete,

we can tell that we belong to others.

I hear your voice

despite your silence.

I hear it, and I am ill prepared,

for the silence

when, dis-entangled

we go our separate ways.
